Hello,
I own a 486DX Professional Notebook and I would like to replace it's hard drive because it's faulty. I'm thinking about using a compact flash to ide adapter.
Does anyone know hor to take apart this laptop? It's the same model as in this thread http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthread.php?22606-Info-on-a-486-generic-laptop-I-found&
Thank you!

I can't help with taking it apart, but it looks like a plain old 3.5" IDE drive inside. Maybe you can just chuck any (<8GB) IDE drive in there and have it running again?

Less than 504/528 MB unless you want to use a DDO.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try both methods: the cf adapter and the DDO+high capacity ide drive.
