Hi folks, does anyone know how the 8x14 EGA font is stored(organized) in 16kB IBM-EGA ROM? And is it the same font as in vt220l.814 file all over internet? I still miss the structure of that file.

For example in CGA 8k ROM, the 8x8 font definition is twice, thin and thick versions. Thin version is based at 0x1000, the thick (the one actually used) is at 0x1800. Each contains 256 characters x 8 bytes. In the first 4kB 0x0000-0x0FFF there is some other font, I believe it is font for MDA adapter. So how structured is it in EGA ROM?

I want to extract that font for a VGA project.

I found it. 8x14 font begins at location 0x2230. Each character takes 14 consecutive bytes.
