I recently bought an IBM XT 286 from eBay, I used to own one in the mid 90s but got rid of it after the hard disk failed and regretted it ever since.
I also bought an Intel Above Board 2MB ISA memory card and I need to know how to get it to work. YouTube user vwestlife suggested I ask here (at least I think this is the site he meant).
I don't have the original gsetup.exe program for the BIOS settings, I found one on the internet which seems to have limited functions. Apparently I also need drivers for the memory card which I don't have either.
Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new gear ;)

You can find almost any info (including CMOS SETUP) for the first generation IBM 51XX PC series in excellent http://minuszerodegrees.net/ website, take a look.

There are few different versions of the aboveboard but software is common if i'm not wrong and you can find it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/p0wsqwe52u040wz/Intel-AB.zip?dl=0
You should configure the card first for EMS or XMS memory (or both of them if you like) using SETBOARD utility. Then using SOFTSET.EXE, you can install and configure the EMS driver if you configure some or all of the memory as expanded.

Note: If there is a jumperpack installed on the board (Aboveboard Plus have it, i don't know whether it exists on different models too or not), remove it before installation. It is only needed for the computers having 8-bit bus (computers with 8088/8086 CPU)

If you can't locate GSETUP.EXE let me know and I'll post a link to it.

I have a version of gsetup.exe but I doubt it authenticity. It asks for a donation when I exit the program, if you have the proper IBM version I would be grateful.
