I got a Genoa EGA 4880 (ISA 8 bit) card and I tried to run my IBM Portable PC (5155) with that card.
Unfortunately even with "IBM 5153" monitor selected (JMP5) and DIP switch 5 and 6 to "CGA mode", I wasn't able to find any DIP switch 1-4 combination to get a picture on my FBAS monitor (I tried it first on an external monitor, which was tested before with the CGA card).
Is this card NOT able to send a displayable picture on a 15Khz compatible monitor ?

Switches 5 and 6 do not select the monitor type -- they select the adapter type.

Since you've got an EGA card try 5 and 6 in the on position which is for EGA/VGA.

My mentioned DIP Switch 5 and 6 (like all other Switches or Jumper I mentioned) were located on the Genoa card itself, NOT on the IBM mainboard....

P.S.: On the IBM PC mainboard, it was already set to EGA/VGA (other card, not CGA or MDA).
