I'm Italian,i speak english not perfectly.
I like Linux,GNU,GPL,i like retrocomputing and older pc's,i search old pc to install it FreeDOS but i find only broken hardware (pc's with broken floppy drive).
What's the best way to install freedos?
if i find a 386 or 486 with floppy drive broken,is possibile to replace with an IDE actually floppy drive?
In older 286 is not possible,286 have esdi drives.
My collection of old pc's is empty!

You can take the hard drive out of the old PC, put it into a different PC, then install FreeDOS on that PC. Then put the hard drive back into the old PC.

So, this is the Introductions forum, so let me get back on topic: welcome to the forum!
