I have 3 AST Sixpack Plus cards. One long version, two short versions. Haven't looked at my PCs for a while, and the batteries were dead on them all. So I installed new 2325 coin batteries.

The problem I'm having is the two short boards don't seem to work with the ASTCLOCK.COM program I found on the internet (ibm-pc.org). Whereas, the long board works fine. Looking at the manuals for both versions (minuszerodegrees.net) all jumpers appear to be set correctly.

In the short board manual it says you need at least version 5.1 of the AST Superpak Utilities disk. Seems the disk I found on ibm-pc.org is version 5.02!

You'd think there'd be no difference, same clock chip, probably same registers?

I was in the past using a freeware clock setting program and that doesn't seem to work with them either, I just get a random date & time.

Anybody have a newer version of ASTCLOCK? There are some references to "http://members.dodo.com.au/~slappanel555/rtc.htm" in other threads but the link is now dead.

I believe the website with a number of RTC files is now http://minuszerodegrees.net/rtc.htm

Thanks! Not sure how I missed that page. I was using version 1.20 of ASTCLOCK. That page has 1.21 and it sets the clock chip properly on the short boards.
