An Altair 8800 in it's original box!

That's just amazing.

This looks like about the cleanest Altair I've ever seen and it's one of the first MITS boxes I've ever seen.

Nearly 30 years later it all looks perfect.

Amazing.

Yeah, I just saw that one too.

What is this, spring cleaning? :)

Can someone loan me $2000? I'm good for it...

I'd actually give anything for an S-100 system, regardless of age, shape, or functionability.

... that is, if I had anything to give in the first place...

This is an antique computer and will not run modern operating systems.
 Oh well, I see why the seller had to point it out, as it is listed among vintage PCs.

By the way, is this item remotely interesting? It is a 8080 trainer from 1977:

Someone on Ebay UK also had listed the supposedly uncommon Z80 cartridge based Exidy Sorcerer, which might add to your believes that spring time brings out the old stuff (but that most are well aware what they can ask).

Yes, very interesting (to me, anyways). I'd love to have a 8080 or Z80-based trainer (preferably with documentation). A Z80-based Micro-Professor sold on eBay last week for $41.00US, but I was broke, as usual. At those prices tho, there's a good chance I'll have one someday (soon, I hope).

Well, this closed at just a bit under $9,000 US after 21 bids. . .

That's just crazy! :)

Well...

I happen to have a 'spare' Zenith Z-120 that's fully functional with the exception of a broken drive A: latch. If you have any friends or relatives who are driving to Florida this fall for a vacation, I can let them bring it back to you. The Z-120's are a little too fragile to ship. This one was, but I was just darn lucky it got to me in one piece. I've got another one of these machines and I'd be happy to share the hobby.
