Does anyone here know of a program that I can use to make SID-like songs on a new Windows computer? I don't mean a program like OrgMaker that makes vaguely old-school sounding tunes, I mean something that would simulate an actual SID chip. I love the bleepy-bloopy sound of those old chiptunes and I wish that I could make some of my own.

You are in great luck.

Check out GoatTracker v2.65: http://cadaver.homeftp.net/tools.htm (scroll down)

This is a Windows compatible SID composer which either uses software emulation or a HardSID/Catweasel expansion card if you have one installed in your PC. The music can be played back with SIDplay etc, and you can even generate binaries to be loaded and played back on a real C64.

Thank you very much. I will start using it when I have the time.
