Hi,

I've trolled the Internet but I can't find a diagram of a Vic-20 Mainboard showing the chip layouts (either version). Can anyone point me in the direction of one?

More specifically, go under Commodore -> FTP Area and browse to schematics/computers/vic20. However, these images are not really pictures of circuit boards, but true schematics. It may take a little while to orientate yourself, but it is an excellent source once you found what is what.

As a side note, many of the GIF files found in the Zimmers' FTP archive are not possible to open with MSIE 6.0 browser. Firefox, some external GIF viewer or possibly MSIE 7 will open them fine. I don't know why, probably they adhere to some GIF variant not supported by the built-in picture viewer in older MSIE.

Thanks for the URL. I had been there before and seen the schematics but couldn't find any chip layout diagram.

It seems such a thing is not easily found on the net.

Very nice image of the original release board. Thanks!

I'm also after an image of the second configuration used in later versions of the Vic-20, if anyone knows where it might lurk.
