I got my first (untested - for parts/not working) Apple II yesterday. - Within 10 seconds of power up the RIFA filter caps cracked and gave off the paper burning smell smoke puff. I was quite happy...

    Thanks all.

There seems to be plenty of 11/16" tape around but 1" seems a little more scarce.

Indeed. Not sure what my 'standard' 4000T is worth these days.
I think the 3000T' is more desirable and I saw that this same seller had a boxed 3000T for sale at a more modest 3000 euros.

Apparently this machine is one of only 100 4000T's made by Commodore before they went belly up and Amiga/Escom then issued a larger number in a slightly revised package.
  21. Commodore Amiga 4000T - almost 10K euros !

Wow - its the most expensive one I have seen - makes Altair 8800's look cheap.

Also makes me think about selling mine.

Apparently some sort of prototype....because it has a sticker on the box...
