    Default Odd VT-131 problem

Seems to drop chars @ 9600 (shows a grid character). 4800 and below work fine. I could use the auto XON/XOFF as a workaround but some software I use traps for various control chars and the VT starts running the program for me, jumping around between menus!

Anybody know of any problem that would cause the dropped chars? The manual says the thing should go to 19200.

Sure sounds like a handshaking problem; what are you talking to that can't handle Xon/Xoff? Maybe hardware handshaking is an option?

Can you try another computer (e.g. PC with Hyperterm) that can send a large amount of text using Xon/Xoff to confirm that the terminal is working properly?

If you can't handshake properly you may indeed have to run at 4800.
