Exclamation WANTED: COMPLETE Atari 800 $600-$800

Looking for a complete Atari 800 System.
Console must be fully functional and in pristine, if not mint condition. Willing to pay up to $800 for systems with 48 KB ram.

NOT interested in incomplete systems. I want EVERYTHING that came with it, down to the manual and box.
    NOT interested in 800XL
NOT interested in any other offer!

I've been trying to do the same, and it's been less than easy.

I currently have the Atari 800 Computer in near mint condition, no box, just the styrafoam.
With the RF Connector and Power Pack.

The Atari 410, complete, box and all, the recorder is near mint, the rest in is ex condition.

The CX-85 box and all, never used.

What I'd like to get next, is the 810 Floppy Drive...

How do you define everything for a 800, just out of curiosity ?

All the original components that came in the box.
Is $800 not a fair price for an Atari 800?

    Default 800

No, you miss my point. How are you going to determine what a complete, original 800 is ? Is the original sales receipt part of it ? Does the serial# on the box match that of the unit ? Do you know what should be in the box as far as paperwork? What constitutes the original maual set, and does the manual set match the machine revision ?
If I offer you a 'complete' Atari 800 for $750, how are you going to verify completeness ?
If you want to shell out that kind of money, you need a clearer understanding of what you should be getting, else you're just setting yourself up to get ripped of.

If its just the Atari 800 as it was sold in retail, $800 is more than enough, still tough to find on EBAY.

Didn't it come as a system with controllers and cables?

I don't think the original Atari 800 cam with much, not even full memory.

I think they came with 8K or memory, a power adapter, a manual, and an RF adapter or something to connect to your TV. That's about it. Floppy/tape drive would be an additional purchase as would any other accessory.
