Thread: Tomy Tutor multicart

    Default Tomy Tutor multicart

Picked up both the "3D" (bigger ROM) and regular multicarts from a European seller along with a passive clone of the Game Adaptor to enable the Tutor to play games with larger ROMs. The "3D" multicart even included a Tomy port of the TI 99/4A Pitfall! adaptation. Nice! Pretty much every Japanese and American cartridge appears here with the exception of the mk II BASIC-2 cart, and it works great.

I have these as well--and they are very good work, well worth the price.

May I ask who is selling this multicart?, seems that I'm not able to find any useful reference over the web...

I think he's nearly out of them now, but I can give you an address to contact. Perhaps if he gets enough interest he'll do another run. Bear in mind they're not cheap though:

    - 32kb Multicartridge: 40EUR (plays all 32kb games - requires the Game-Adapter)
    - 16kb/8kb Multicartridge: 35EUR (plays all 8kb and 16kb games)
    - Game-Adapter (needed for the 32kb/3D Cartridges): 10EUR

Shipping is of course extra. However, as ksarul says, they are very well-made and work flawlessly. His Game Adaptor clone is particularly interesting: it's a passive device that actually mounts the cartridge above the Tutor instead of out the back.

If you're still interested, PM me for more info.
