Thread: Earom

    Default Earom

I have a mid 80's Chrysler digital dash and in it has a EAROM which I finaly found to be hopefully a NC7400 NMOS EAROM.

Does anybody know how to read and program it? I know this is a digital dash from a car, but it has vintage hardware in it.

    Datasheet is here.

This is going to be tough one. VGG is -35V, with logic levels all being negative (approx -12v for "1") and a 14KHz clock signal. I suppose you could use an RS232 transceiver to do the voltage shifting and a boost converter to supply the substrate voltage, but you've got a fair amount of work ahead of you.

Once all that is set up, programming seems to be fairly straightforward.
