    Absolutely amazing.

I wonder what the story is behind it? Forgotten box in a warehouse? For 40-50 years?

Whoever got this - you're welcome! I contacted the seller and was going to pick it up just to get the display plate, when he contacted me and said someone in Texas really wanted the plate, and was it ok if he sent it to him, and I just took the rack.

I told him the plate was what i wanted to save, so to go ahead and send it, and he could do what he wanted with the rest of the rack...

I literally just got done downsizing and then of course this pops up and fairly close by. For sanity sake I am going to have to pass, but if anyone else lives in Florida...

Yeah, this load would instantly undo almost any downsizing, but there's a lot of neat stuff in there from many different eras.

Once upon a time, the internet sucked because it came through the phone. Now the phone sucks because it comes through the internet.

It's a Ye-Data drive. IBM's later 360K drives were manufactured by them as well. More reliable than the Qume drives used in the PCjr and Portable PC, but the loud click when the motor turns on and off is annoying.

So cool to learn why that thing was so loud! Our nec or teac drives were never that loud. But it felt robust as anything that's for sure.
