Price seems reasonable for a working setup.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

IBM System/34 in PA, no pics, sadly. Also, the fact that he's spamming CL as far away as Austin, TX, suggests that he thinks he's struck gold.

    Apple Lisa

Everyone says jump on it but I have little desire to own one. Plus it's $700. Also I have no idea working condition.

Batteries still in are a huge red flag. However, the original Lisa mouse can be worth a couple hundred all on it's own.

    Hello!

I feel silly for asking but, isnt the Apple Lisa like the first ever Apple they made in the garage Apple started in? I dont have that cash laying around but I am sure its a nice piece of vintage to have.

Mmm no, that's an Apple 1. The Apple 1 is worth more than a Lisa, the Lisa is just a unique side project. However, it is also very rare and considered very valuable, especially the accessories, and I would buy that set for $700 in that condition in a heartbeat. Well maybe not a heartbeat cause it's a lot of money, but I can say that system is well worth much more than $700. I like that that set has the ProFile, mouse, and those manuals - its really lovely. Also depending on what kind of key it uses we might be able to get a new one.

Is the Lisa 2 really all that rare? There's always 4 or 5 on ebay at any given moment. I've seen at least sixty sell there in the last few years. There were thousands made..

The original Lisa with Twiggy drives is rare, most were upgraded to Lisa 2's (kind of like how most people upgraded their Apple I's to Apple II's).

There are plenty of Lisa 2's for sale on ebay because people pay lots of cash for them and then find out there is not much software for them get bored and flip them. At least there is plenty of software to run on a IBM 5150.
    What I collect: 68K/Early PPC Mac, DOS/Win 3.1 era machines, Amiga/ST, C64/128
    Nubus/ISA/VLB/MCA/EISA cards of all types
Boxed apps and games for the above systems
Analog video capture cards/software and complete systems
