I bought a Mac II a couple of months after they were released. I also bought a 68851 (not from Apple) and A/UX 2.0. When the IIfx was released I bought the upgrade from Apple. I can't remember the details but I seem to remember it came with 4MB of RAM but nothing else. I bought another 4MB of RAM (not from Apple) and upgraded to A/UX 3.0.

What were you running under A/UX?
    What I collect: 68K/Early PPC Mac, DOS/Win 3.1 era machines, Amiga/ST, C64/128
    Nubus/ISA/VLB/MCA/EISA cards of all types
Boxed apps and games for the above systems
Analog video capture cards/software and complete systems

I ran just about everything I had run under MacOS, including games in addition to doing stuff on the UNIX side like running UUCP and a news server.

Nothing A/UX specific or custom made apps then.

I bought it so I could use Mac and UNIX programs at the same time. I'd had a lot invested in Mac software but wanted a UNIX system.
