Default Memory board on Xenix 86 question.

    IMG_20151031_192904.jpg

This is out of SCO Xenix system V runtime manual.

"We have used the following memory cards under XENIX-86XT:
    AST 6 pack +
    Tandon
    etc."

Anybody knows how it was used as I have a 2mb ram card in my 8086 Deskpro and sure would like to use it under Xenix, maybe as a ramdisk for swap?

I have not found any info on using memory boards on Xenix 86.

The 6-pack+ maximum memory was 384k and was intended to pull a 256k system up to 640k. So with Xenix-86, you will be stuck with the 640k limit which is listed on page 43 (or about 10 pages before the card list). Want a useful Xenix system, get a 286.

Thanks but my 286 motherboard is dead and the ol 8086 deskpro is still trucking along.
