WOW! I never came across one of these in the UK. Did you have one Mike?
I'll put that advert in the next edition of TRS8BIT if you've no objections.

Google Micro-Merlin for the TRS-80, I think you'll be surprised what it was capable of.

Dusty, I "borrowed" that from the net : http://dallashodgson.info/images/LNW_TM.JPG . There are copies in other places.

    Wow, I am surprised! Thanks!

    Here's a photo of a TRS-80 Model 4 running MS-DOS 2.11:

Speaking of non-Z80 stuff for the Model 4, does anyone have a Mod 4 socketed for the Z8108 CPU? Apparently, some early ones did.

Never seen one or known anyone who owned one. Would be great to find one but I'd say it would be pretty low on usefulness...

I stopped looking for one years ago. They must have only sold 50 or so. When early MS-DOS machines like the PC, PC/XT and Tandy 2000 were super expensive the $1195 microMERLIN might have made sense but it was pretty pointless once you could buy a full PC for around the same $, or by the end of 1984, less.

A project kit? Well I guess it would be at least as useful as Mappa-1 and people have emailed me interested in that. Just need to find a working microMERLIN first...
