Default Rare Apple Haul - Northern CA - Apple Lisa 1, etc.

Someone near here has a pile of Apple stuff listed on Craigslist: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/sys/5778556117.html

Most is common but there is a boxed Macintosh and a working Apple Lisa 1!

Too rich for my blood. YMMV.

There was also a recent eBay auction for a Lisa 2 with a Lisa 1 faceplate. I wonder if this one is it?

Could an Apple Lisa actually be restored to a "1" if one had some twiggy drives? I was under the impression there were a few other modifications along with that. Hmm, or better yet (from a technical standpoint) could a drive compatible with a twiggy be created using normal 5.25" parts? (a looooot of differences though)

Either way, that dual 5.25" faceplate looks a lot sexier than the 3.5".

Yes, if you have the drives in the aluminum cage, starting with a machine that originally was a 1, which aren't all that rare,
pretty much all of the ones with battery rot. It's not practical to start with a 2 and convert it to a 1 with Twiggys because the
backplane and back panel are different.
