Default color classic II motherboard vs LC550 motherboard

What are the differences between the motherboard in a Color Classic II and a Mac LC 550? some sources state they are the exact same board and others say minor differences are present. Wikipedia claims they are "essentially" the same. One post I read claimed the LC 550 board has more VRAM soldered on. Can anyone clarify?

Some sources claim the Color Classic II has an LC 550 under the hood while others claim an LC III+.

In either case, the Color Classic II motherboard wouldn't be identical since the Gestalt ID and form factor is different.

It would make sense for the Color Classic II to have a smaller amount of VRAM because it drives a smaller lower resolution display.
