    The last bound, printed manual for Microsoft Macro Assembler that I have was for version 5. I got a CD with version 6.

    As far as updating the assembler, it depends upon what you'd like to do. MASM 6.x hasn't substantially changed in years--a few added instructions for new processor features, but that's about it. MASM 6 used to be included with MS DDK and some SDKs, which could be downloaded from the web.

    If anyone would like an actual set of MASM 6.11 manuals and diskettes, let me know. My workplace unloaded a couple copies that ended up at my house.
