Thread: Wayback Machine proxy

    Cool Wayback Machine proxy

    Hello guys, I just saw the https://github.com/tenox7/wrp which is a proxy that transforms websites into gifs giving you the possibility to open it in ancient browsers.

    That made me think, is there somehow a way to create a proxy that redirects me to waybackmachine?

    For example: www.fox.com --- > https://web.archive.org/web/19961019...ww.fox.com:80/
    www.HBO.com--->https://web.archive.org/web/19961019...ww.HBO.com:80/
    www.apple.com--->https://web.archive.org/web/19961019....apple.com:80/

    Imagine being able to navigate in the 90s? awesome!
    If anybody has enough photon or apache knowledge ao could help.
    thank you

    Now that looks like a very useful tool. Nice find. Archive.org and the wayback machine require fairly recent browsers just to get to anything, and then litter the archived pages up with scripts. In some cases being able to view the page with a period correct browser may be the only way to properly view it. Like all those nasty "Only viewable in IE 4" pages.
