Lightbulb New Amiga 500 Cases - Made from new molds

    - The Campaign has a - FIXED GOAL -
    - If Goal isn't reached, all backers automatically gets refunded by Indiegogo.

    - Campaign has reached 1/3 of its goal within the first week!

    Dear Amigans,

After the New Amiga 1200 Cases,

The A1200NET Team is happy to share with you the third Crowdfunding campaign.

    ► New Amiga 500(+) Compatible cases ◄

    Campaign Link:
    https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/n...iga-500-plus#/

    Please note:

    • -The campaign is now in USD.
    • -Previous campaign for the keycaps was in SGD.
    • -This wasn't easy for some backers to notice right away.
    • -One of the many advantages moving to Indiegogo was the option to chose the USD currency, alongside a bunch of other features they offer. Things that are not possible on Kickstarter.

    Campaign information:

    - The purpose of this new campaign is to create new molds for Amiga 500 computer cases.

    - The Team decided to go for the A500+ case design with its larger badge. Since we'll provide nice Metal badges.

    - The molds will carry out the case shells, but also expansion doors, and Apollo Vampire ports adapter, Vampire V4 cradle and if everything goes as planned with the last stretch goal; Replacement shells for Tank Mouse will be available too.

    - As the bulk of the stress for the keycaps is now over.
We know we have the design and materials down. And are now waiting for our production slot and then go into labeling.
And this is 100% outsourced to our manufacturing partners.

Thus we now have the bandwidth to invest time in the next project and work on the design (which started already a few months ago with we had the Keycap Design set it stone)

Here a couple campaign details and case features:

    • -The campaign will last 45 days.
It can be expended to 60 days if necessary.
    • -You can pledge on multiple rewards
Just send a message after your first pledge and we'll get back to you.
    • -New run of Keycaps is planned
This will happen after all keycaps backers have received their rewards.

    • -Case is a Replica of Original A500 case
    • -Full support for Vampire accelerators
    • -Full support for Raspberry Pi 3 boards
    • -New trapdoor on the rear
    • -Vented bottom trapdoor
    • -Metal brass inserts & screws
    • -Case Metal Badge
    • -Rubber Foot
    • -New Original A500 Color.
    • -New RED and GREEN Colors
    • -New Tank Mouse Shells (Stretch Goal)

Thank you again for your support and for helping us to renew necessary parts of the Amiga classics.

    Cheers,
    Phil
    Team A1200NET

Maybe it's just me suffering from Commodore kickstarter fatigue, particularly a500 cases which seem to resolve a problem which didn't exist.

I'm sure it will easily achieve its goal however. Best of luck!

Thank you for your comment Circuit,

    > Could you be more precise?

Amiga 500 cases gets yellow as hell.
Not ALL of them, but a fairly big chunk of these.

These new cases have lots of avantages over old 30 yo cases.

    Thanks Circuit.

Off topic but please consider doing the same project for the ATARI ST's, many cases suffer bad aging and crumble with just little stress.

    Hi Ecross,

Well, there is quite a certain number of projects the team is currently working on.

Personally I'm not really into the ST community however to get an ST(fm/e/tt?) case we'd need at least 800+ Atarians supporting 80+shipping.

Then we'd also need to get several non working ST and variants to double check cases details.

That a long shot if you'd ask me right?

    Cheers,
And don't forget to support the campaign

That's great, clearly defined parameters. I'm not into the Atari community either, but as an owner of a crumbled Atari STE I can try building some interest momentum later in the year. Good luck with the ongoing projects.

    Hi Guys,

► The campaign dead line has been extended to end of MAY.

► Campaign duration is now extended so that it offers more time for late backers to join in now.

► If you haven't done it yet, please do contribute now.
    - To build those necessary molds and for you to get your new cases all Amigans has to jump in with us

Thank you again for your support.

    Cheers,
    Phil

Thank you for your support guys!

Two things will happen this week end:

1- Campaign will cross the $100K mark
2- A new LIVE STREAM by Sunday afternoon 5pm (Paris time) simultaneously on Youtube and Facebook.

The campaign is still withing range to reach its goal, so all backers are welcome to join in so the team can get the molds done and all backers to get their cases

Thank you for your support, even 1x Case can make a difference.

    Cheers,
    Phil

The case on my A500 is in pretty bad shape and missing most of its screws so I certainly wouldn't mind a brain new case...
