    Default Gateway 2000 G6-266

Hello! I have been frantically searching the internet about anything related to a Gateway 2000 G6-266m. It's was manufactured in 6/18/1998 and the serial number is 0010106769. I found it on ebay for the purposes of using it as a vintage gaming machine. It has a Pentium II CPU with 64mb of ram. It does not have a video card installed, but it does have an integrated chip.

My only problem though, is it doesn't have the proper drivers installed. It reverts to the standard PCI graphics adapter putting out in 16 colors. I just cannot find any information on this computer when it comes to the drivers it needs. Heck, I can't even find a user manual. I found this forum in my attempts to dig up information on this computer. I need drivers for the integrated chip but I just do not know where to look. I will eventually get a good graphics card for that time period, but that's not in my budget right now.

I hope this is in the right place to post this, and I appreciate anyone who can point me to the right direction.

    According to this:

It has an S3 Virge/GX 4MB. Since you didn't post any full pictures of the motherboard, I can't confirm what it has. it looks like it has a i443LX chipset, which precludes any integrated video like the i810/815 had.

Vogons has some Windows 95 drivers available:

Man that is a good machine. I worked on those when they just hit the market. Gateway didnt offer "reimage-CD's" They assumed you had the ability to reinstall everything disk by disk, so they included a small binder with every cd youd need to reload the computer. It came with windows 98. Should have the now backwards color scheme of Purple PS2 mouse and Orange PS2 keyboard connector.
