ROI (Rolf Obler Industrieelektronik) is the company that did the PDP-11/93 CPU board for DEC. The board pictured is not an 11/93, but presumably they had some experience designing J-11 based boards before they did the 11/93.

    Hallo w3llschmidt,

your mentioned CPU card is the ROI version of an 11/73 with 32 Kwords of cache and also 8 serial lines on it.
A few weeks ago i got the german manual for it.
It is planned to scan it and then send to Al.
ROI called it an SBC, but it is missing the memory.
It is able to be configured with up to 4MB of memory.

Beste Gruesse ( Best regards ),

Looks similar to one of Mentec's last J11 boards, I wonder if they're related?

    glitch,

afaik and have been told from people who did business with ROI everything was self developed by ROI.

Beside the 11/93 CPU they developed and also produced for DEC they also did this with the RQZX1 SCSI Controller.

I hope i will be able to get some further info from an former developer of the RQZX1 in the next weeks that is still
    active with hardware development...

    Best regards,
    Kai
