Default Philips PM 8422 mab Z80

    Folks,

Does anyone know what this is device is (see picture) - and more importantly have any useful documentation please ?

It would appear to be a POD for an emulator/debugger for the Z80 microprocessor and I assume needs to be plugged into an analyser of some sort.

    Thanks in advance

Plenty of views of this thread but no responses yet.

So I have cracked open the unit and its got rather a lot of logic inside - see pictures.

Sandwich of 2 PCB's one contains logic and interface electronics for the interface to the debugger, the other PCB appears to contain some more logic surrounding an EPROM than might contain some Z80 executable code/BIOS.

Ok, a bit more scouring of the interweb....

I THINK it is one of the PODs that was available for the Philips PM4221 PMDS (Philips Microprocessor Development System) from the eighties.
A pretty bespoke piece of kit and I'll probably need the main PM4221 system to make any use of it.

Slim chance that somebody out there has one of these.
