Thread: Commodore Calculator “Green Edition”

    Default Commodore Calculator “Green Edition”

I’ve recently picked up a vintage commodore calculator. I have the box, and it seems it is a “special edition” one because it has a “green screen.” The before mentioned green screen is just a piece of green plastic over the led display. I’ll get some pictures when I have the time today. I’d also like to know when this thing was produced, and if anyone has a power brick for it.

    What's the model number?

The "Commodore calculator" I use the most is actually their little AM radio!

Here you go! I forgot I had the manual. I still don't have the power brick.

You may have to open it up and see what dates are printed on the inside. I suspect that it would be from 1976 or 1977 since the Smithsonian has a GL-997R with components dated mid-1975. Yours is GL-997RF so should be a little newer. http://americanhistory.si.edu/collec...ct/nmah_334541

Any chance that the calculator you have has the hidden AA battery compartment?

Here you go. The battery exploded, so that's not an option.
