The universal cable is what I have, but the 3.5" connector for the A position fell off. Is there any special way to put a new one on?

Just clamp it on but be sure the polarity is correct.

If you're looking for DS/DD or DS/HD 3" or 5" floppy disks, PM me. I've got some new, used, and factory over-labeled disks for sale.

Thanks for the advice, I got both drives working now, but I'm getting the "drive D is not accessible" error again for seemingly no reason. I have a couple things left to try before I bag it
