Default Wanted: Panasonic/Matsushita/Creative Labs CR-563-B (USA Only)

Does anyone have or know where I can find the Panasonic/Matsushita/Creative Labs CR-563-B 2x CD-ROM Proprietary drive for a Sound Blaster 16 card? I need a CD drive that'll be period correct for my Packard Bell Pack-Mate 28 Plus since the 32x CD drive I have currently installed hardly works and slows the performance of my CF card running Windows 95C and MS-DOS.

    Thank you.

    Also, Happy Leif Erikson Day!

They pop up on eBay from time to time. Also very frequently seen in Packard Bell, Gateway 2000 and other OEM 386 / 486 / Pentium PCs from the mid-90s.

Another alternative is a CT1770/CT1779 with a SCSI CD-ROM or a SCSI ISA controller with SCSI CD-ROM. Or a Sony, Mitsumi or Philips/LMSI CD-ROM of course.

Found one on this site: https://www.impactcomputers.com/cr-563-b.html but no pictures or the front bezel. There was an eBay listing that ended, but not sold. I also have an earlier version of Linux that requires that type of CD drive since the ATAPI CD Drives weren't around until later on (kernel panic when it's attempting to find the CD).

You can always contact a seller and make an offer for something that did not sell. I have done that successfully in the past. The listing with the reseller states that there is no bezel.

The item on eBay got relisted, but, I'm going to be out of town for the weekend this week. Also, does the no bezel mean the whole front piece (eject button, emergency eject hole, drive busy LED, things like that) or the tray bezel?

    Found the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/302915058578?nordt=true

The condition is pretty good (slight yellowing, but, wouldn't hurt to retrobrite it).

No bezel typically means no front plastic.

Here is one listed as part of a PB part out: http://cgi.ebay.com/253927870107.
