Thread: SyQuest SQ100 -- 5 MB removable disk cartridge

  1. Smile SyQuest SQ100 -- 5 MB removable disk cartridge

    Wanted: working 5 MB disk cartridge for the SyQuest SQ306R drive. Disk cartridge model number is SQ100. May also be labeled as "Q-PAK."

    Cartridge color is typically white.

    Fascinating. I had no idea Syquest had made drives that far back. I wish you the best of luck in finding the cartridge!

    Huh, neat! I didn't know SyQuest made stuff that far back either! Post pictures and such once you have them up and running

    Are they MO drives? Is there any "laser warning" on the drive???

    I have SyJet (1.5GB) external SCSI and a SparQ (1.0GB) external parallel to SCSI drive, plus Iomega Jaz 1GB and 2GB external SCSI drives. I got interested in the removable disc tech. when on contract in Switzerland, where a bank had the smaller, I think SQ230 (230MB), drive.

    No, they are small hard magnetic platters
