    This is not correct, FAT32 is not needed. With some DDO software fdisk of any DOS version >4 will see the whole disk (but create partitions up to 2GB)

    Another option would be to use the XT-IDE Universal BIOS on a network card or controller card (if the card has a spot for the BIOS chip itself). My Packard Bell's BIOS limit is 3.2GB, yet, my 4GB CF card wouldn't get detected very well. But, in the BIOS, I have it set to user mode to keep Windows 95 happy and it detected the full 4GB storage with the XT-IDE Universal BIOS easily and it only takes 1KB off of the conventional memory of the 640KB (639KB conventional memory usable).

    I got this working with DDO software (On-Track)....good to go once that was applied!!
