Do you deal with them? How do you deal with them?

Not really much you can do besides try and polish them out or try those automotive windshield bullseye patches.

But how do you polish and with what? I was hoping to hear from someone who's done it. No one has to Google anything for me.

I'm trying to remember from when I received a NeXT megapixel monitor that had been shipped tube face down with no padding and left a spot smack in the middle of the screen.

I used a small fabric buff wheel on a dremel with glass polish.

You might try jeweler's rouge. You can get a small kit on Amazon.

Was I discernible after you were done?
It doesn't matter really. I listed the 1084s with all it's flaws. And amazing image just the same. As I recall, it's been at least 8 years that it's been sitting.

I have all sorts of buffing/polishing sticks here. It's just a question of what's suitable. I would expect to have to do it in steps, increasing the fineness of the grit after the first step.
