Default Siemens Nixdorf PCD-3NCsl display problem

I'm having a wierd problem with my flea-market find Siemens Nixdorf laptop. It's a very cool model: a modern laptop form factor 386 with an active colour LCD and an integrated mouse. Seems unusual, at least to me.

Unfortunately, the display on mine is broken. It was working fine for the first few hours when I got it, and after one restart the display died, as shown in pic related. After dissasembling the LCD, I found some corrosion on the driver circuit, mostly on the opamps and one of the four LCD ribbon solder joints. Unfortunately, I didn't take a pic. I tried some "throwing shit at the wall" approach like repairs: cleaning off the corrosion, reflowing everything around the corroded area (properly, not in the oven lol) and spraying everything down with contact cleaner.

Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? Do you have any experience with these kinds of repairs, maybe you have this exact machine? Any feedback would be appreciated.
