    That's getting to be more common. I just bought a Brother laser printer with something called "Brother Refresh"--it automatically orders supplies when needed.

    I did too. I can see where this is handy in a large company, but I turned it off. The ironic thing is that large companies don't like it either; they prefer that someone in house gets the notification, either in IT or purchasing. I've heard of more than one case of a printer errantly ordering too many supplies.

    Yup, Mine's off. In spite of all of the features, I use it as a copier. I have better printers and scanners.
