Thread: Newbie Saying Hi!

    Default Newbie Saying Hi!

For a long while now I've wanted to get hold of an old 486 era laptop so I can relive those DOS and Windows 3.x days! I recently sold a few things on eBay and this evening I have just won a couple of auctions so shall shortly be receiving them in the post so I thought I'd join this forum as it seems there are some like-minded people here!

Thanks for the warm welcome! The laptops have arrived and I'm just going through them to ascertain their status and see what needs attention etc. along with preparing to re-install the OS on each of them (I've not installed DOS or Windows 3.11 for years so that's going to be fun)!

2 486DX2-50 laptops with 8MB of RAM and a 350MB HDD and a smaller 486 laptop of unknown spec as it has no OS on it and it's so small it doesnt have a floppy disk drive on it so I shall have to do some jiggery-pokery with the hard disk to get DOS and then 3.11 on it.

I've also got a PII Windows 95 laptop too.
