Thread: Internal Zip 750

    Default Internal Zip 750

    Hi Guys,
I am waiting for the delivery of an internal Zip 750 drive and also recently purchased some internal Zip 100 drives. Both come with no software, just the hardware. I have drivers for Zip 100 drives so that is not an issue. Before I purchased the Zip 750 I forgot to figure I might need drivers for it. My search for Zip 750 drivers has come up empty. Anyone know whether I need drivers for this device or can I use either the Zip 100 or Zip 250 software?

    Thanks...Joe

What interface is the thing? If SCSI, you probably can use third-party drivers.

Or just mount it as a removable hard drive.

Wikipedia claims that the Zip 750 didn't come with a SCSI interface https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_drive

That's too bad--and a bad sign. Even the Zip 100s were available in SCSI.

Give the Zip 250 drivers a try. You might have some luck with generic layered drivers, say ATASPI.SYS with regular ASPIDISK.SYS.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it is an IDE device. I do not have it yet so I have to wait to see if the Zip 250 software works.

    Thanks...Joe
