Default What is the AMI Keyboard BIOS Plus chips on later PCs?

Can anyone verify if this is just a clone of the Intel KB controller or can it/does it contain the NVRAM for CMOS and/or the RTC? Thanks.

Hi, I can't answer this directly. You can lift the label and check the engravement, though.
I bet it's a flavour of the 8042 microcontroller (datasheets available on the web).
