  1. Default What are some common and widespread Tandy Radio Shack computer models?

    Hi,
I'm trying to learn more about Tandy Radio Shack's vintage computers. What were some of the most abundant, numerous, common and widespread models back in the day used in both home and business settings?
    Thank you

The Color Computer 2, Tandy 1000SX, and Model 100/102 were probably their best-selling computer models. Wikipedia claims six million of the Model 100/102 were sold, although that may also be including the almost identical models sold by NEC, Kyocera, and Olivetti.

The Model 100/102 were sold well into the MS-DOS era. The ability to run for days on 4-AA batteries coupled with a built in modem was a combination that was unbeatable for quite some time.

I recall recently watching an old Radio Shack commercial on YouTube which was touting all their new MS-DOS computers. And, there, in the background, was a Model 102 still being sold.
