Thread: Making the .ENT file question.

Default Making the .ENT file question.

I have a byte array as a text file in a modern computer. I want to send to my SOL-20 as a .ENT via the serial link in the usual way, with the file starting at a specific address. What is the best way to create/format a .ENT file (rather than doing in manually in the text editor), is there some existing software that will allow saving as a .ENT ?

You use an existing PC command line utility like HEXBIN to create a .hex file and then the HexToEnt utility here: http://deramp.com/downloads/processo...ent_converter/

    Thanks!
I downloaded both those batch and class files onto the same drive with some .hex files from a hex editor. Running at the command prompt the application reports a No Class Def Found Error. I must be doing something wrong, can you give me any tips ?

...I assume the .class file extension is supposed to be changed to an exe ?.. now I see its a Java file.
