Default Tatung ET10 Serial Terminals anyone ?

    Folks,

I have bought one without a keyboard so am looking for any information about the keyboard interface on this model so I can obtain a compatible replacement.

    Thanks in advance.

Well I got some magic smoke from caps on CRT driver board on powering up - could really use a schematic for this machine.
I bought it as it has an amber CRT that I rather like so will recap and see how we get on.

Well, while I'm waiting for a delivery of capacitors I thought I'd poke around in the rest of the Tatung.

Quite a lot going on in here - 8085 processor around 32K of RAM, monitor/code executed from EPROM, video and serial drivers - a reasonable computer in its own right.

could you dump the firmware, as long as you've got it open?

I spotted that terminal on Ebay and was rather tempted but the lack of keyboard put me off. I had one of these back in the late 90's. Great terminal and the smooth scrolling on that amber screen was lovely

Hope you get get it fixed & running!

    Cheers,
    Dave

    thanks!

With that and a high-res picture of the board, it may be possible to simulate it in MAME
which would also identify how the keyboard works.

I can't quite tell what kind of connector is used for the keyboard.
