    Default PETpix reappears!

From 2012 to 2015, developer Mike "gubbish" Hill was developing and demonstrating a video player called "PETpix". A video on an iPhone would be rendered and streamed through the PETpix interface board into a Commodore PET where the PET would show the video in PETSCII characters.

See Youtube videos of PETpix at

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JmQuTZR8Zs and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUn6BbRDnpI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ8-iEewVDY

Now comes PETpix 2 ! PETpix 2 is a prototype board which will take the video file from a Raspberry Pi and convert it to be displayed on a Commodore 64! Now in color! See PETpix 2 in action at Saj Awan's table(s) at the Commodore Vegas Expo v15.

    Very exciting!

    Thanks Robert!
At long last getting back into some vintage computer activity after a new addition to our family last year.
The PETpix 2 consists of a small interface for the rPI which connects to the C64 user port, and streams video in multicolor bitmap mode (160x200, wide pixels) topping out at roughly 6-7 fps.
Also made a recent update to enable live video streaming from a mobile device as well. Will post some updated videos shortly. Full source for the project will also be available soon on GitHub.

At CommVEx v15, it was great to see videos such as Star Trek: Original Series trailers streaming through the PETpix 2 onto the screen! I was trying to guess the FPS, but now you've answered that.

Excellent! If you have the PETpix 2 ready for sale at any time in the future, I'm ready to buy!
