Thread: Preservation of Apple IIe/IIgs software

Question Preservation of Apple IIe/IIgs software

I recently acquired 10+ boxes (like moving size boxes) of education software for the Apple IIe/IIgs. I was wondering if there is an active group trying to preserve titles that I can see if they are missing anything that I might be able to help with. I seem to have copies of the "master disks" for hundreds of MECC titles as well as a ton of other software, a lot of which in original boxes.

I would suggest contacting Ken at apple2online.com:

Software preservation for the Apple II is VERY active right now. As mentioned above, Jason Scott would be a great resource to get in tough with. I'm not aware of many "to do" lists out there, but know that there is one for the MECC titles.

Absolutely Jason Scott. As Al stated above, he's been going through a very large chunk of Apple material of late and his work is absolutely trustworthy on this.
