I was cleaning up a Deskpro 386/20. I opened up the psu and dusted it out. It was looking good inside. No visible cap leaks, all the dust gone. Plugged it in, hit power on, pop, bang, bang, pop, smoke rising! Oh well, now I need another psu. I am NOT good with psu's. I know just enough to know I should not be replacing parts. The couple I tried blew house circuit breakers! And had melted parts inside.
The motherboard connection is not standard AT style of which I have several. Is there a conversion cable out there somewhere.
Or should I just settle for this:
