Thread: AmigaDOS Keyboard commands

    Default AmigaDOS Keyboard commands

I'm trying to get to the CLI without a mouse (don't have one yet) under AmigaDOS. Using https://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/Using_...trol_Workbench as a guide, I've tried every combination listed, including the Boot Modifier keys but nothing seems to work. The only keyboard response I get is pressing the CTL, Amiga, Amiga keys which seem to reboot the Workbench. I can run this demo "A1000 Demo 1 - Polyscope Demo (1985)(Electronic Arts - Commodore)(A1000).adf" which responds to keyboard commands so I'd guess the keyboard is ok.

I suspect I'm missing some step here. Your thoughts?

Well apparently is was the keyboard. I happen to have a spare with two key caps missing and tried that one with better success. Unfortunately, it has keys that don't work at all so I guess my next task is to try and get at least one of the A1000 keyboards working.

If you have an amiga joystick, you could also use one as a mouse substitute (connected to port 1).
