Default MATROX PG-640 and PG-1280 Manuals and Drivers

    Hello to the VCF members.

I'm searching the manuals for the Matrox PG-640 and PG-1280 (and PG-1281) graphics cards sold in the second half of the eighties.

Also any drivers, if available or information on these cards.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Vincenzo.

    Hello Alecv.

Thanks for the link. At least it is useful for the pictures of the PG-640. Unfortunately no manual there. But I know it is VERY difficult to find. And maybe even not existing.
Hope someone finds it in its treasure vault!

    Bye!

    Hello Kgober,

    thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately not. There is nothing related to PG640, PG1280 or PG1281. Only later boards.

    Bye.

    Mr. Al Kossow!!!!

The myth. The Legend! I downloaded millions of manuals from your bitsavers website bible!

You are still missing some of the rare Olivetti and manuals I own. Bit don't have a scanner and it takes a while to scan it page by page.

Unfortunately I didn't buy the board because I'm in Italy! I wish I could! But no shipment to Italy and shipment would have been expensive as the board.

Anyway, it's a very good piece of retrocomputing.

    Regards to Mr. Kossow!
    Vincenzo from Italy.

The QG-640 manual is on Bitsavers: http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/matrox/ . I think all the bits about commands and their syntax will apply to the PG-640.

    Hello John,

of course I knew that and I already downloaded it months ago.

I own a PG1280 board (on an Olivetti PE32) and I wanted to have more info on the dip switches on the board, the jumpers, the commands, the memory organization, the graphics commands, etc.

    Thanks anyway.

    Bye!
