Its in a tough spot to get to as my space is limited but as you can see its a blue bezel 2001-8 and it has a blue sticker/badge with a mirror reflective commodore logo. I assumed all 2001-8's had this. The only differences I have seen till now are the black bezel screens.

And in this video, his pet has a sticker lgoo: https://youtu.be/Y4BTfpHOQFk?t=442
You will notice that this PET is a 4016 business model. I have a 2001-32N which is also a business model. They do not have the built in tape recorders either.
I am still interested in the various labels or badges that are on the 2001 home model, and the serial numbers that go along with the various labels.

It appears that tcolegrove's black beveled 2001 home model, has a serial number 0033232

Yes I am aware its not a 2001 series. I was merely showing a peeling sticker.

Novell2NT, You have the lowest serial number Pet 2001-8 I know of offhand. Your serial number is #0010899 and if we assume that's older than mine because its a preceding number it means they were using different labels/badges. Yours also has the blue CRT bezel which I always assumed was in the first run. I know mine is a 1977 model as its inscribed on the main board and well as having 6550 ram sockets. (I have a spare 2001-8 board from 1978 which has 2114 ram sockets).

Novell2NT: Your PET is definitely a special machine. PET serials started at 10001, so yours is among the first 1000 in production. Is it functional?

    Hey Guys,

If any of you ever run into any Cursor Magazine cassette tapes, I am missing a few, after cassette #23. I would like to have the full set. I am trying to create a full set of videos, displaying the Cursor Magazine animated covers.

Yes it is working. I purchased this recently from the original owner. Who had one of the rectifier diodes placed in the wrong direction, so when you would power it on, it would smoke.
    nothing else was effected.
I heard that you might have picked up another pet, recently as well???

Although, there are probably not a lot of people, who remember the Cursor Magazine cassettes.

I have all the tapes but I don't want to break up the set either; why not make cassettes from the images? That looks like 28 tapes; are some not Cursor tapes?

Interesting about the covers; I'll have to check that one day.

I loaned the covers to someone to scan and never saw them again ;-(

Do you have all the tapes??? I think there are 30 in all.

Like I said, I tried the images, on my WinVICE, and the covers did not work.

Here are the videos of the 23 cassette covers, that I uploaded on YouTube.

I am just appalled that you lost the pamphlets. Who would do that. I can make you copies of the first 23, but I am sure that they are probably downloadable, somewhere.

Yes, there were 30 tapes and yes, I have them all, although I haven't checked recently whether they're still readable. There are several archives out there but at least one has some problems. The covering letters are indeed also at Bo Zimmer's site but most of the scans are skewed.
