Thread: DEC Pro 380 PSU / case?

  1. #1

Default DEC Pro 380 PSU / case?

I just got a DEC Pro 380 motherboard, and I'm attempting to piece a system together.

I have a dead Rainbow 100A, and I think I can use the case shell from it for the Pro 380, but I know the power supply will not work. Which model PSU do I need for a Pro-380?

Also, any pointers to finding the service manuals for it would be great. My Google-fu doesn't seem to be working for this.

    Thanks!!

The Professional 380 is wider than the Rainbow 100. I don't think the board will physically fit.

Oh, bummer. The cases look so similar in pictures. I'll have to track down a proper case then!

They definitely look very similar, but NeXT is right. The PRO is bigger.

My Pro-350 is 23 inches wide vs 19 for my Rainbow-100. I would assume the Pro-380 case is
    the same size.

Yes. The 350 and 380 are the same case. Different motherboard.
