    Default ibm thinkpad i series 1161

    I need help! I just used a hard drive partition tool and set up a partion on disk C without software and accidentally booted from it! Now it wont boot and the original recovery cds wont even work. It just says Operating system not found . What can I do?? Thank you. It had windows me on it.

    Do you have a functional floppy drive?
    Have you checked the boot order in BIOS (to boot from CD before HD, but after FD)?

    You should be able to configure the BIOS to boot from the cdrom first. Is the BIOS battery still good?
    What I collect: 68K/Early PPC Mac, DOS/Win 3.1 era machines, Amiga/ST, C64/128
    Nubus/ISA/VLB/MCA/EISA cards of all types
    Boxed apps and games for the above systems
    Analog video capture cards/software and complete systems
