Default HP Pentium 166 Windows NT Defrag Program Missing

I just got my HP Vectra VL 5/166 computer out of storage and did a fresh install of Windows NT 4.0 with SP 6. I tried to defrag the hard-drive but in TOOLS, "Defragmentation", it states that the option is not installed.

Any idea how I can get it installed?

It's been a while since I used NT, but in several versions of windows, features can be added or removed through the "add/remove programs" option in Control Panel

I just checked but I don't see that option in add/remove.

NT 4.0 didn’t come with it. You can install something like diskeeper.

Diskeeper Lite was free and available for NT 4 and was roughly equivalent to the defragmentation tools included in Windows 2000.

Correct. Diskeeper Lite was the "go-to-standard" for NT4 machines. Available here:

pagedefrag is also handy as it will defrag parts of the system area at boot-up that are unable to be touched while windows is running (page file, registry, etc). If my memory serves me, I'm pretty sure it will run on NT4, also still handy on 2k and XP.

Later versions (2010, 2012) of Diskeeper also can perform this, I don't know if for NT 3.51 or 4 though - not my cuppa tea.
